But whle the tanker business may be going well at Schneider , those drivers still make the same sacrifices being made as other drivers including giving up paid holidays .

texaspics,

While I do not work for them, what they tell a driver about pay and hometime really doesn't mean a lot. That goes for about 90% or more of the carriers out there. What I mean by that is, they can tell you whatever they want to. They can also show you in their employee handbook to prove themselves right.

The bottom line is that you are a right to work employee. Just because they tell you what the pay and hometime are when you start doesn't mean they can't change it later on after you are hired.

Just kind of a sad reality. Good luck to you.

Good luck to you ThatboyB. Tanker work, in my opinion, is a much better type of employment choice than dry van. If you do well, you can build upon your experience and if you want to, change companies to better suit your needs. Who knows, maybe Schneider will be the right company for you. If not, you will be in a much better position as far as good jobs are concerned. Keep us informed.
