I probably know more about Swift than most students that sign this contract. I also know that I will be successful here just as I have been in other endeavors.

Yes, they even tell us in school on day 1 when we sign the contract that there is NO guarantee of employment with Swift. This is because you can't get a job as a Swift driver if you can't get your cdl.

Your experience with Swift is different than mine. As has been stated several times in this post, when you went to school freight was down. That is why you were on a list of 87 drivers. This time of year freight is up for Swift, and will get better in the coming months.

As with all the other students of swift's academy, when I get my cdl, I will be offered a job.
I do hope you're correct on all counts Ford.

Weird. Very weird.

If the only place in your life that you can make yourself feel like a big man is on this thread on this forum.............how very sad for you I feel. Go drive your bus, be happy, have a wonderful life, make a ton of money. I hope you do ALL of those things. I pray for nothing but blessings to be showered upon you by God.

I won't be answering you directly any longer. If you make posts that I disagree with I'll address that but as for personal conversation I won't be replying to you. Any further insults by you will be forwarded to forum staff.

Oh, and forget about the offer to buy you a cup of coffee, you're a little to manic for me to be willing to meet in person.
Damn.... No more sympathy? No more answers? No cup of coffee?? what a disappointment.

And as for moving ahead...I did that when I left Swift.
Just think others should proceed with as much due dilligence as possible as with Swift there are no guanrantees of anything including their own future. As has been said, it's a private company and as long as that's the case no one except Moyes will know what's really going on. That said, there are more than plenty of red flags with Swift and the industry as a whole.

Hmmmm.....never been tagged as "manic" before.

Finally, don't be concerned with the prayers. I do fine without them.

When I drove for them, quite often I would fuel at the various truck stops...sometimes when I wasn't all that far away from a Swift yard. Depended on the pricing at the time. That said, it would be helpful for you to pick up all the truck stop driver cards. The points would be helpful to you down the road.

Swift company drivers fill using their com-data fuel cards, so all major truckstops except Flying J..FJ has their own (TCH card)..however some O/O have the TCH and the com-data.

Since you obviously have a distaste for Swift, why do you continue to monitor the Swift threads?

For some reason..maybe experience...your story of being the perfect all around nice guy driver with Swift doesn't ring true in my clock tower! You said you spoke directly to the new CEO..I am trying to figure out how you got past the secretary on the first floor. Very few do without an arranged appointment, and a whiny driver, who has nothing but negative spewing from his lips doesn't seem like the one who would manage an appointment.

Your story has been over done, excessively repeated, and somehow always ends and begins the same with every driver that tells the story of their plight with whatever company tossed them out. If you didn't do anything wrong, ever, said no off color remarks, sent no restricted language over the quall-com to your DM...why were you really let go?

Since you obviously aren't going to lay the COMPLETE story on our ears...why don't you leave the Swifties and other newbies alone...quit trying to force your bad situation into anothers good plan for a future.

Ford - I am sorry the "Clock Tower" isn't ringing true. First. this needs to be clear. I resigned. I was never 'let go". It would apprear people here have just assumed that. I emailed my departure letter to the fleet manager (copying Richard Stocking) following hometime and emptying my truck.

I believe you and I have both been repetetive in our beliefs. Mine are just different from yours (comes from our constitution). I never stated I met with Richard Stocking. I did mail a letter, which was followed by an email from him, and two phone conversations, and other emails. The letter stated some incidents (without whining) and some suggestions. Below are six emails from him (just cut and pasted here). The last of which was received after I had sent a second letter (mentioned above) announcing my departure and the reasons why.

Thank you so much I am sharing with Executive group ! Again thanks for sharing this infomation and great ideas !

You bet. thank you. I am in Memphis I would have loved meeting you. Well maybe next time your in.

Geoff I would love to talk with you live. Please call my cell any time 602
315 XXXX. Thanks.

Please let me know how I can get a hold of you !

I am sorry you have had the issues you state below, Swift is turning many things around! We have won more business and carrier of the year awards than ever before. Swift is not going out of business its really the absolute opposite. I really wished things could have worked out , I wish you all the luck and good fortune in the future !

Ford, if my posts here had been read as they had been intended, I would have been hoping that I have been providing information, just as have you. All information has been factual, can be documented and I just don't want to see others end up as did I. As said before, I was as enthusiatic and vested in the program as anyone with a 100% positive attitude until the lies began to be uncovered, some of which were/are in writing (from a recruiter). But that said, I do think any of us who are even somewhat "in the know" would agree there are some existing issues with Swift which, as you say, don't ring true. Yes, they have been a great company over the years and one of the largest while, on the way, gaining a great deal of respect. That said, I believe "today" is different as it is with all carriers.

I am monitoring for several reasons. If there were reason, I would be the first to admit I am/have been wrong. I am also one to stand up for what I believe is correct, as are you I beleive, and will offer assisistance with those beliefs/facts. That's all Ford. Hope this helps clarify.

Hey Ford, I say good for you and I'm happy to be reading in your thread that you're progressing in your' training. I'd take what the parade pissers (Windjammer2) say with a grain of salt. You gotta crawl before you can walk, ya know, and if Swift is willing to give you a shot, run with it! Use Swift, get a year or two under your belt and move on, if you feel you must. Do your thing Brother, I'm not mad at ya...---CK---

Just an FYI.
