Re: LandAir, Greeneville TN I'm pleased to read that you have landed on your feet, and that you have found a company that treats you well. I had checked out LandAir from stem to stern a couple of years ago, and found them to be above average when compared to some out here. I do hope things improve for you on the medical homefront, for all of your family. It sure sounds like you have been through quite a bit. It's refreshing to read of a company that takes care of their drivers, even those that haven't been with them for a great length of time.

Re: LandAir, Greeneville TN I have an owner operator friend that has worked there since 2000 and he has good praises for them.He say`s there is sometimes minor dificulties, but nothing to get upset about.I have had serious thoughts about buying my own truck and signing on with them. From all that I`ve heard, they are a good company.

Don't want to burst any bubbles here but this is what I am hearing. They have lost most, if not all of their sales force, including the stepson of the founder of the company. That can't be good news for the driver if the people that find the freight are leaving....how long before the drivers start leaving 'cause there's no freight?

Understand that some of the people that have left the company have had their pay withheld. I know of one instance where it is several thousand dollars and there is legal action pending. Not to sure that I would want to be considering working with a company that has this kind of cloud hanging over it. I know that there are a few more people, (non-drivers), that are looking to leave and have opportunities elsewhere. Like I mentioned before...can't be long before drivers start to feel the results of this obvious internal issue. Can't be a good place to work?!

Wonder if same thing can be said over at Forward Air? Land Air and Forward Air are one in the same. Only big difference is Forward is 100% O/O and Land is (say) 60% O/O and 40% company driver. Same "chief" started and still owns both.

These 2 companies are no longer associated with one another. Landair was taken private a few years ago by the founder of both companies and he sold all interest in Forward Air. Management is totally seperate and from all appearances Forward Air is doing quite well as an expedited ltl carrier. Landair is now almost 80% company truck.

| Good luck.Keep us posted!!
