i dont know what that guy was smoking when he said they ran out of fuel. are you kidding me, they let you get ten gallons. He obviously did something stupid to hate May Trucking that bad, to post lies about them. May is one of the only companies i have heard of to actually treat there drivers like family. when ever i need to go home, i simply let my dispatcher and my driver manager know, and they are cool about it. Other companies would drop your mileage, and you would be screwed. There are few Companies like that, another good one i know of because my buddy works for them is Gordon Trucking(Pacific Washington). Again i have come to the realization that the only Truckers with something bad to say about any companies are the ones that did something stupid, or broke the few simple rules that the company had. Trucking isnt a hard job, its a way of life. If you cant follow the very basic and few policies that are impliminted, your an idiot, and enjoy your desk job! To all of the other Truckers that get on these forums to provide answers to others questions, and there insight on what they have experienced, "God Bless You", and to the others, (you know who you are), if you did your job and stopped complaining so much maybe you would realize how good you could have it with a company. that guy that said all that about may is honestly the first i have ever heard to complain about the company.

Don't be an ###. I didn't lie. We did run out of fuel mulitiple times and wasted a lot of time and money because of the DM and may's fuel policies. Anyone is free to look up some of may's policies and see if I am lying or ask other may drivers.

I'm not an idiot. I wont stay with a company that causes me to not make money. If May was such a perfect company as you describe them they wouldn't be replacing drivers as often as they do. Every company has flaws and some companies have flaws that are to great for certain people to deal with. Also, I don't work a desk a job (wish i did), I drive locally making a lot more than I would of if I would of stayed with may and I also get to stay home with my family and friends and have a life. win win for me.

No i here you if i was making crappy money with a company i would rather stay home as well. i think im just confused on what happened to you at may, and im sorry to here that it did if it is in fact true. I personally havent ever heard of that happening to any drivers that i have known. In fact every driver that i met before i got hired and after i got hired are still employed with MTC. I wasnt biting at you blue ranger, just confused. I just hate when people get on here and run there mouths about things they dont understand. not saying that you were doing that, but thats what i took it as when i first read your post. Sorry MTC didnt work for you. take care

May does have some MAJOR micromanaging policies. I have had to turn BACK on my route to get gas because they told me too late. Their idle policy is a JOKE..nobody can do that and they tell you what route to go, etc. Plus, you do some sitting in between loads, especially if you are near Brooks, OR. I hate to get loads up there because I know I will be sitting.

It's a good starter company but nobody in their right mind should stay after 2 years. MUCH better companies out there for those with experience. Starter company, okay.

routing is'nt that bad, i usually take a rt. that follows their suggestions. but i do not follow it to the T.

yest. / example , was to take FL. turnpike to 301 to 271, ended up going down to 50, across then south.

MY dm has never said anything to me re; routing or out of route miles.

Is a pre-hire letter needed to qualify for the grants? I have an orientation scheduled next week and would like to be as best prepared as possible.

Any input on the time frame of the grant process? Will I get my license this year? :^)
