Hey guys, I was looking over all the post and replies on here and trying to see if it had been brought up somewhere before and didn't see it. Does Calex offer any health insurance to there drivers??

Well, hello again, hello! I'm so happy to say that I'm back at Calex - I started today and will be heading out tomorrow on my first run.

My previous opportunity didn't pan out as I'd hoped but it did give me the opportunity to take some time off and start an online business with my wife, which she is now in charge of... (well, mostly ;)

This is will be my only entry here on this blog - but I felt the need to make some public amends. I can be pretty nasty sometimes, when I get frustrated...so let me first say to John that I apologize to you, my old friend, for going stealth on you here lately. I felt I needed to pull back, concentrate on some things personally at home and clear my head.

I also took time to review why I felt the need to leave Calex in the first place - and it was my own fault. Everyone here has been and was always so very nice to me, and I made a pretty good living here last year (2010). But I let my neurotic need to make it about personalities instead of shutting up and just doing my job - that has always gotten me in trouble over the years. So John I apologize to you, wish you the best here and always, but need to say that now I'm just going to focus on doing the very best job I can for Calex, my family and to keep things to myself, and quiet. That's actually much more my nature. I hope you understand pal. When I do see you though, I look forward to a big hug, and catching up. I'll always remember that it was you who turned me on to Calex in the first place.

And to Louie, my dispatcher, I apologize profusely and publicly now for what I said when I left back in August. I was wrong to do that in a public forum. Again, my frustration got the best of me. I know you're a good man who does a job I couldn't do in a million years. I like you personally very much and often wish I could get to know you more on a personal level.

And if I offended anyone else as well, Jason, Mr. Grimes, or whomever else, I sincerely apologize as well. As I said, you all have been so good to me since day one, and I recognize that.

I've always felt nervous about posting here - I think one has to be careful what one writes sometimes, because people take the written word more seriously than the spoken word very often. After all, EVERYONE can see the written word, eh? So I'm going to limit my posting to this one here - and wish everyone the happiest of holidays and a very merry and safe Christmas.

I'm so glad to be back, grateful and humble that the fine folks here at Calex accepted me back, and I hope I can do justice to the faith they've shown in me by giving me another chance.

God bless you all, and I look forward to meeting you in person, if I haven't yet, or seeing you again soon at the terminal or over the road.

    - Gary

Oh wow...that's horrible. I'm on hometime right now so I didn't get the message. I'll have to call into safety to see what is needed and talk to the wife about what we might be able to give.

    Thanks for the info.

I called into safety after I saw the message. He and his family need everything. I called my wife and she's packing up the things we were going to donate this time of year and ship it up to Calex. When I get back to Pittston next week I'll put a monetary donation in the collection jar they started. What a shame, especially this time of year. Hopefully we all can step up and help.

    The Challenger Thanks this.
