Todd, think hard about working here. I told you numerous times that the way Calex runs it doesn't pay to live in California and run the coast for them, unless you don't care about home time, which we both know is very important to you. Produce season will be ending in a month or so. Remember, living in California you want a few days off when you get empty, then when you get back to Pittston it's an automatic reset waiting to load back out. That comes out to less miles than I get running back and forth to Florida.

Sitting at Budweiser in Jacksonville getting loaded. All my preplans for the week just came over my computer. This is nice, the only phone call into Louie will be tomorrow to find out my new trailer to pick up at the yard tomorrow night.

See, it pays to follow up on the on-line app. I spoke with Calex today, and they suspect that there's a problem with the website, and they did not get my app. Super nice guy though, and he e-mailed the long version to me.

If you spoke with Brian, yes, he IS a super nice guy. I don't know Mort's replacement as I haven't met him yet. If you're able to come on board, you'll find they are very sociable and friendly. I always took time to stop in and chat with them before I went home from a tour of duty.

Hey Voyager, for what it's worth(if anything) I consider myself to be like you in our ways of thinking. I for some reason always have this calling to go regional and get away from local. Well 1 year ago I decided I wanted to do regional again, within the same company, and give up everything I had worked so hard for in my local position. Well I got very anxious and backed out of doing it thinking there wouldn't be too much of a problem, well you know the history. I had to resign my position and have been living and working the past year here in PA. I guess what I'm trying to say, this would be your 3rd time, that would have been my 2nd time trying regional, and maybe it didn't work out in the past for a reason.

I don't know, I'm not being negative at all, I've just learned to look at the bigger picture over the last year and you seem to have a pretty good thing going with the local gig, other than the nights. Either way, hope you make a good decission.

I'm home. Ran late at my last stop because of heavy shipping amounts. I usually have 12 pallets to get off, instead I had 24. So instead of getting to the house at 8:30 this morning I got here at 8:45.....lol. My first drop at Costco this morning went like this. Came through the gate at 5:45, backed in to my assigned door with my standing appointment at 5:55, done at 6:05, out the gate at 6:15. Oh, then on I-95 at 6:30 and at my last drop at 6:55. Really not a bad run. I've made a few adjustments over the last 4 weeks as far as certain routes I take but all in all this is working out just fine. It reminds me of those books you see, computers for dummies, except this is more like dedicated run for dummies.
