Those were some nasty scratches, in addition to the mirror. Did the Volvo dealer get those scratches out too? And all this right after they fixed your truck so well in Pittston recently. Oh well, that's trucking. I'm glad noone else got hurt in your incident, that's the most important thing.

Well, it's Monday morning. Hoping to get final word today or tomorrow about heading up to Pittston. Been out of work for 1 month now exactly, and I NEED to get to work, believe me. This hiring process takes soooo long. But it was that way for you too, I remember. One week to do each step along the way, pretty much, right?

Johnboy, does Calex give you EZ passes or Prepass? Lots of tolls in the NE...I imagine your trip to MA this past week racked up quite a few, shooting up 95. Or do you pay cash and get reimbursed?

Have a safe week my friend, and I hope to meet you soon.

God Bless to all. Everyone ready for the Christmas blitz?
I am ready and will be happy once it arrives.

I've been to this customer a half a dozen times so far and know that it takes a whopping 15 minutes to drop and hook then leave. On my way up I had an electrical issue with my truck that turned out to be a bad alternator and tensioner pulley. I got to the TA in Jackson GA which is about 15 miles to the customer Tuesday around 10AM and from the time I showed up to the time the repair was completed it was just shy of 3 hours lost. $915 later I was on my way to my delivery in Edison NJ for Thursday Morning. I bumped the dock at 4:45 am and was on my way back to Pittston at 5:40 AM. When I got to Pittston I was given my reload info for a drop and hook at the usual customer for Thursday Afternoon for a Monday delivery. So this weeks total breaks down like this;

2795 paid miles
Left Sunday night
Arrived home Friday night.

Not bad for 5 days work and another reset at home. Be safe all, God Bless!
Not bad at all. How often do you drive on 95 past brevard county?

Thought I'd show you what a clean truck with 736K on the clock looks like at 7AM in 33 degree weather in a rest area in NC.

Got it, I'll pm you when I find out what day I'll be passing through. The truck has a full gauge package, that was how I knew I had an alternator issue, it showed me that my volts where down to 10.9 when they should have been at 14+

Gary, I'll email you my phone #. From what Mort said, it depends on what my reload will be tomorrow. I'm usually done unloading around 8AM. If nothing changes, my reload will be the same day going up North for a Wednesday/Thursday delivery. If we do meet in Orlando the best place would be at the truck stop on OBT. It's only a few miles from my delivery.

Hello all, got home early this morning. After unloading in Orlando this past Monday, I was told by Safety to meet and pick up Garylobo from here on the blog and bring him up to Pittston for orientation. I was dispatched for a P/U in Georgia and delivery in Quakertown PA on Thursday. After loading on Tuesday morning I decided to deliver a day earlier so Gary could get a jump on his orientation. I'll let Gary write about his experience so far. It was bound to happen, we went to E-logs. They initially said that it was to be begin after the first of the year, but low and behold, it started on Thursday. I should have been home last night, but I went through that Tropical storm in Virginia and had to shut down a little earlier than I wanted to on Thursday night which delayed my getting home by 12 hours. Oh well, poo poo happens. I'm home till Sunday night then off to Orlando for 5AM Monday. Be safe all, and God Bless!
