Go to the motor carriers questions- the inside scoop
see " Hitting the road with Magnum" by Scooterdog.

Catprint Red Magnum LTD

HEy there, I worked for them 3 years ago and felt they were an awsome comapny, excellent trucks and decent pay. However, I no longer work for them becauae I moved to Florida. I still have 3 friends that work for them. Here is the info: all drivers just took a 5% paycut as of last month, they went to electronic logs ( friends have mixed reviews about that 2 of 3 like them) If you live in MN though you have a good chance on getting home often. I really enjoyed their trucks, they only have Pete 387s with built in fridge and freezer, APU on most trucks and 22 guage set up on the dash with jake brakes. But gotta make your own choice. Take care.

I have never worked with them, but I have a high opinion on them for a certain reason. Back a couple months ago when I was trying to go OTR again, Magnum was the only company that didn't give me any BS in regards to getting a job. The recruiter (wish I could remember his name) was very nice and told me he had a truck open, but the simple fact of the matter is if it came down to it they would put someone in who had more experience. He took time out of his schedule to talk to me even more and even at the end of the conversation he said I wish you luck cause I know it is hard out there and if it wasn't we'd love to have you.

I know who you are talking about. Leight <sp>, right? I already had a good impression of the company from posts here, but after talking to him, I have even a BETTER impression. He was such a nice guy and VERY honest. Now I definitely want to work there, too bad I was passed up for the same reason.
