| I work at The Sygma Network Hello everyone, also, this is my first post. Hope I do well. I've been with Sygma for almost 2 years. It is my first driving job, too. Have nothing but good things to say about them. You work here. No dock stops. You unload everything by you picking them up, putting them on a cart, and then running down a ramp and dropping that product inside the store. I go out 3 times a week. Usually average 1600 miles a week, but thats no big deal, our pay comes with the weight. This check I cleared $2300 dollars. Paid every two weeks. Decent trucks. Their top speed is 60, although some trucks havent been turned down yet and still run 65 in designated states. This is only at our center. We have 16 distribution centers. I can't vouch for how fast trucks are allowed to go at another center. Of course, they know when you are speeding because of the PC in the truck. Other than that, from day 1 it has been great. Other than some loads being half assedly loaded, I can't complain. They don't FORCE you to take extra routes unless you are on the extra board. You get in good with the customers and they give you gift cards, free food and pratically fall in love with you if you're not an #######. Any questions, please let me know. |

| its no easy job and a lot of the companies want young drivers. it do pay well at some of these companies. going up and down the ramp is not easy to do with a dolly fully loaded. |

It is just I hear some OTR drivers are out for weeks at a time and aren't even making what I am and I am home 4 days a week. I suppose it is just a job preference. I'm glad I found this job because I was so close to going OTR as well. Thank God I did not. Don't think I would survive out there especially with all the threads I'm reading about the drop in freight and miles. |

| I live here in Charlotte and would like to learn more about Sygma.. any advice? was about to start CDL training next week but am hesitant with all the negative comments i am hearing lately. I did route sales years ago and the work does not bother me.. I like physical jobs, keeps you in shape.. |

| I am just curious what you mean by your statement? Do you think that $300.00 is not realistic? For a junk OTR company driver, no. Now local can be a very different story. Just want to see where your experience is coming from. Drive safe |
| ||||
| I find that kind of unbelievable. If he is making that much? More power to him! It doesn't seem realistic, especially in the South. Union drivers? |
| |||
| In the south? I'm in the Midwest. I never said I made $300 a day but now that I think about it you are probably correct. I probably pull in a little more than $300 a day some routes. Not a bad job. Just picked up more business too. Job can seem overwhelming and especially if you are on a team route with a partner you just can't stand. Never any problems with pay. Always get my vacation when I want. Nice bonus every quarter. It is just physical. I am in Oak Creek Wisconsin now on my 3 hr lunch break. I usually get lunch and a lil nap then back to work. |
