Some recent changes you should be aware of. This remains a great company to work for however they are getting a bit strict. FYI they are now putting cameras in all trucks thst stare at the driver the entire time you are in the truck. You will be fired for using a cell phone not wearing a seatbelt or even using a cb. Pay has started to decline some not sure if its the economy or the new optimizer program they use to ship product out of the most economical site. However still a great place to work but change is in the works and some may not be able to put up with it. I really dont care for it but am going to stay on to see what direction this is taking. Safe travels

i know its not only this place its all over. they will see a lot of turnover on drivers. have to laugh at the new innovative idea to put add on the back of the trailers for drivers jobs. WE WANT TO CREATE A PIPELINE OF QUALIFIED DRIVERS WAITING TO COME TO WORK. thats a laugh. who gets paid to think of this stuff.linde cant find anybody! now as you said the checks are good for mebenefits are better than wal-mart by 10 miles but they are choking the drivers.it seems everything is designed to shift the blame to the driver from the company.. from not wearing those cheap chineese rubber shoes with the sand paper on them to driving 1 mph over.heres my plan. on duty consantly ,5mph below, stop at at stale green lights to be sure, drive in right lane only to avoid blame and extra lane changes...will state fatigue as needed..cma at all times. there will be an accident somwhere and LINDE will be hung for millions from their own drive cam.after a couple of these who knows.yes i will be 20% less productive thats the way it is.anybody with an accident is fired anyway so who are these safety meetings for? allmost all accidents are outside the U.S. thats right global company, so when they roll an oxcart in columbia some how it turns into my fault..go figure

not sure what you do where but we have scheduled days off that are on a sliding schedule. sounds like you value your hometime as you should. days off are the biggest attraction for me also.out 6 off 2-3 works great. companies cant figure out that something that cost them nothing, is the biggest driver retention program they can have. i really think these companies want turn over..:biggrin_25511:

Linde is ok they will hang you out to dry like all the rest. Its a good paying job but they have taken rules and driver monitoring to the point of paranoia. All the mistrust and monitoring can really make you tense and take any joy you got from trucking away. So if you like Very tight rules enforced with an iron fist you will enjoy Linde

You also failed to add the spycam in the trucks and the fact that dicipline is the order of the day there. You are a machine at Linde.

So...as the paycheck gets smaller and the bs gets worse so goes amother good deal due to micro-management at its extreme

You are sadly mistaken on your claim about Linde being the worlds largest. I work for Air Liquide and we are top dog! You should try us out, the benefits and pay are better. Do yalls trucks have cameras in them? they started putting them in the Linde trucks down here. Im just razzing you a bit. hauling cryogenics is pretty cool and pays better all the way around. Good luck with them.

Careful here big company make sure the place u go to has a union because Linde will boot your ### for the slightest infraction. If you are at a union shop they wont mess with you so much. Also I have never heard of anyone at Linde getting a 2k bonus not a driver at least.
