QC goes dead, Stevens knows you are pulling something... if you do not have to go and get it fixed.
And did you know that even with the fuse pulled, there is a lithium battery that continues to collect data, which is all available once full power is restored?

i have a question for u about stevens im getting back into trucking im already approved at stevens what do i expect at orientation and i completed two leases with trans am and cr england which from what i hear is a miracle but what can i expect what is the hotel like so on and so on and are they leasing the new t700's or are they still only leasing the t2uglys or the 387 petes

as a just newly graduated student, i start grad class on the 17th, expect the normal with the orientation. If your going in as an experienced driver than u might not have to go through the 35days/21days. classes are boring but useful if your new, as for the hotel bring you some Lysol. its old, worn out and yes they know it. the shuttle for Stevens is slow and the lines are long. you can complain all you like but they already know there is a problem but no they're not gonna do anything about it. good luck

Many lease operators are struggling making money with the T700, and its scr, bad fuel mileage, constant break downs. I am in a T660. If you have verifiable experience, orientation starts on sunday, and you are out with a trainer on thursday or friday. Hotel, is old, you will have a room mate, but you spend very little time there. First 3 days are paperwork, and skills observation. -
Truck drivers do not get to be home for every holiday, and if you expect to be, better own your own truck, and have a good savings account. Or be a local.
are your sure about this? I coulda swore i was home for all holidays this year. -
I choose which holidays I am home for, but they are not that important to me. My family is grown and spread across the country. Different people have different demands, goals, and ideas what they want...and what you want is not what I want, and I am blessed because I have what I want, and am happy with what I have.
Now if you have nothing positive to say, since this is the positive section, and a discussion about Stevens Transport, and you have nothing to add, then kindly take your self serving comments else where.Emulsified, flyingswine and Corporal_Clegg Thank this. -

2010 results
Actual miles ran, 136,743
Miles paid, 129,593
Variance miles, 7,159 for a 5.5%
MPG 6.69
Net fuel cost, .166 per mile.
Net pay after all expenses, and benefit set asides $31,116
Net per mile .29
Now I know many will jump up and down saying how can I work for .29 per mile. That is after I have set aside vacation pay, paid my personal health insurance, and I am funding a truck replacement account. Besides, $31,000 to my pocket is more than I made as a fast food manager working just as many hours, and I hated my job.
I made $33,000 in 2009... the drop in net income is due to the apu charge. The apu cost $2600 per year, but is worth it for the comfort it provides since I am on the road all the time.
For all you naysayers, I enjoy what I am doing, and that is more important to me than the income. I live in an area that my opportunities are slim, and I work for a company that is compliant with FMCSA, which means less time wasted at scales, rarely even get the red light, rarely get inspected.
Will what I am satisfied with satisfy other people... No. Does not matter to me, as it works for me.moonshadow and mgt1085 Thank this. -
and hopefully people will look at your numbers and realize how bad it is. that little pay for all the headaches of leasing a truck just aint worth it!
-
Do you have $30,000 a year to do what ever you want with? I do.
What headaches?
Shows just how little you actual know about leasing, or business.
Like I said, it will not work for you, from Michigan where the unions over inflated wages, and housing and taxes, and then, oops all the jobs left for people willing to work for less. Now the state of Michigan has no jobs, the highest unemployment rate....
A person making 30,000 a year in WY, lives like a person making $60,000 a year else where.
I post what I do, why don't you man up and post who you work for, what you are paid, not in cpm but actual net? or are you just another company basher?
