None of those drugs are legal to drive on. If you cause an accident while that is in your bloodstream, you will be in some deep stuff. If you are pulled in for a random urinalysis you will fail it.

    IP is right.

I used to have a prescription for Vicodin that I carried around for my arthritis when it got out of hand. I got rid of it and had to find something else. What I have now keeps the edge off, but is not a heavy duty narcotic.

If you are on these medications because of pain, you must be in some serious pain. If that's the case, maybe bouncing around in a truck all day isn't such a good idea. There's more to this than sitting in the driver's seat pointing the steering wheel this way and that. If you hurt so much you are constantly on narcotics, maybe you need to find out why you are still hurting. After surgery and therapy, you shouldn't have so much trouble. Seems the doctor's job isn't finished.

If you are on these meds because your brain has you convinced you will have pain otherwise, I will encourage you to seek professional help with a physical addiction to narcotics. Please don't think I'm calling you a junkie or passing judgment on you. Addiction can happen to the best of us. Your body may be healed, but your brain is so used to having that little narcotic plug there that it fires off the pain receptors in order to get more. It's truly a physical, not psychological thing with narcotics. I say get professional help because depending on how long you've been on these meds, it may be dangerous to just quit. So don't do that.

Good luck to you, whichever way it turns out.

I live with extreme back pain everyday because my doctor won't give me, nor will I take narcotics while driving. I'm okay if I sit or don't walk distances. Just one of my many medical problems.
Your company finds out about it, you won't be allowed to drive. You get in an accident, you'll need the pain killers for Bubba in the joint.
You only get one script at a time. You list multiple pain killers like you take anything you can get your hands on.
If you can't do without them, it's time to get on disability.

You can't drive on any of that stuff. Plus those drugs cause rebound pain meaning that after it's worn off the pain will still be there causing your brain wants more drugs.
Talk to a pain specialist and find other ways to alleviate your pain like physical therapy.

Johnnyboy my son died a few years back. The corners report showed he had all three of those drugs in him.So you can guess how I feel about it.Please get off of them and stay alive.Trucking is not the only job out there. If you are taking these drugs you need to man up and do something about it.Believe me I still think about my son all the time.If he would have only admitted to himself that he had a problem I would still have a son.I go to his grave site when I can.

I am currently on vicadan and flexarill and am having troublw with my ex-employer trying to FORCE me to go back to work on these medications. I WILL NOT drive a semi on them. I am about to lose my fed med card due to the stroke I sufferered and the fact that my BP has risen above the safety level according to the DOT.
