Weight loss is only part of the battle. Have to walk fast enough to get your heart rate up also. Eat what you want but reduce the portion size. Walking the truck stop gets boring so I go exploring. Feel better, sleep better, and I enjoy life.

I eat fish and turkey only. No rice, no potatoes, one slice of wheat or rye bread. Slow cooker helps a lot. Salads, non fat yogurt, fruits. Oatmeal or fiber cereal in the morning. it's working so far. At least, I'm not craving pizzas when I go inside Pilot/Flying J s.

    Good for ya!
I have stuck with it and see great results..nearly 20lbs gone now
I cut out basically flour and sugar....
Cheat once a week or so but keep the portions smaller by taking what I want dividing it in half and only eating one half of it.
Buy a burger, toss the bread, Salad bars now fear me
Good Luck to you..I feel better than I have in years!

Hello, I'll be reporting for orientation Monday so I'm still greener than green. Speaking of Green, the thought occurred to me when I eat salad or fiber I need to stop what I'm doing in a few hours and answer natures call. What I'm asking is how does this affect your driving time?

Time it, don't eat a lot of fiber before you're going to drive, but rather after if it's a problem.
i usually stop every few hours anyway. and would think you would too

Exactly. You're supposed to be stopping every 3 hours or so anyways, so use that time to go drop the kids off at the pool.

Ok Im going to revive an old thread here. Since I last posted on this thread I have dropped 40lb. I went from 257 to 215 and am looking to get to 200. I been dieting and exercising mainly walking. I do have momentary lapses where I go off the wagon but get right back on. I find that a regimented diet for me works wonders.
