not as long as the med's are out of your system, normally 3 to 5 days before it won't show in a drug test.
-
As saddleup stated as lone as the meds are outbof your system you will be ok. What I would do is contact the dentist and expain you drive for a living and ask how long it takes for tge meds to be completely out of your system, some take longer than others. The last thing you want to is to get picked for a random drug test on your first st day back to work and test positive for narcotics....
-
Not sure how your company is about that but one I've worked for made me wait five days from when I took the last one.

Hydrocodone is a Schedule 3 level narcotic in addition to whatever other narcotic was prescribed. Check with your safety dept. and / or your dentist. Your company more than likely has a set time period that has to elapse from when you last took the meds to getting back behind the wheel. With ours, it's at least 48 hrs. depending on the type, length of time taken and dosage amounts.
Also, keep your script history somewhere in case you need it later on. Leave the bottle and remainder of the meds if not used, out of the truck.crb Thanks this. -
You can take them as long as you are off duty Pete. When you are done taking them then you can legally return to work. Just keep the prescription info handy in case of a drug test. They stay in your system around 72 hours.
I went to the dentist on the road and the prescribed Vicoden. My company shut me down for 3 days. I stopped taking them the 3rd day and back driving the 4th. You can have them in your system and still pass a drug test because they were prescribed. You just can't take them while driving. They break down quickly and the MRO can tell the level in your body.
You usually feel like you got the flu when you stop taking them. You might want to lay around 2-3 days afterwards.TruckerPete1990 Thanks this. -
thanks when i asked my safety last time it was for a differnt med they said 24hours but they changed all my pain meds.

They were prescribed for a legit reason. As long as you're not taking them for about 3 or 4 days, I wouldn't even sweat it. They'll be out of your system,so even if they throw a whizz quiz at you, you should be fine. Hope you're feeling better. Nothing worse than tooth pain!

im sure if you havnt had any recent you will be ok. in the future if you have mouth pain or a tooth ache , midol is a good thing for that and is perfectly legal and doesn't effect you the way narcotics would. it'll work .. good luck !
