    I am not a doctor
But I hear of drivers who have had heart attacks and still drive
Only your doctor can tell you if your driving will be a danger to others on the road, as far as your health goes

I looked on FMCSA website and there was no reference to a stroke.

If you have had a stroke, then your doctor like all of the others have said, it going to have the best idea on your limits. Just make sure the doctor is aware that it is an 18 wheeler you are talking about.

It's going to depend on how severe the stroke was and if there are lasting complications. If you sustained memory loss, limb impairment or speech impairment, chances are you can't be qualified.FMCSA regulations may prevent you from driving with a diagnosis of thrombosis or embolism. The rules on this can be found at FMCSA website.Search under 391.41,scroll down to b4,hit on medical advisory criteria. If your doctor has determined the underlying cause of the stroke and treatment for this shows no future episodes may occur you still might be qualified.Even if you are found qualified to drive you may still have a problem with hiring companies. Most companies have their own criteria for hiring when it comes to past or present illness. To them chances are you may have another stroke while driving their truck. Is it fair?Lifes not fair sometimes.
