DOT physical eye exam??

I have a question regarding the specific tests on the dot physical eye exam. Is it just a read the chart at a distance kind of test or is it more in depth. Does the doctor have to dialate your eyes or do anything other than make you read a chart and differentiate colors?

Read a chart, one eye at a time, from twenty feet.

Color blindness checked by making you read numbers from a card that has a camouflage effect rendering the numbers unreadable if color blind.

Check peripheral vision using the "when can you see my finger?" method.

Nothing too sophisticated. Just the basics.
