Health Question Concerning Physical

I was diagnosed with emphysema a few years ago. Most people don't know that and the few I have told seem surprised because I have worked hard in construction for 30 years. The only time it affects me is while doing heavy labor I get out of breath.

Was wondering if anyone knows if that would disqualify me from getting a CDL, or a driving job? Thanks for any information......

This depends on the severity of the emphysema.

There are drivers who have this condition that are able to drive without having problems.

I agree with sybergal. I would believe that if whoever diagnosed you felt you only had a mild case not requiring treatment. If you work as hard in trucking as you do in construction your doing it wrong. I wouldn't mention it if it doesn't restrict your normal daily life.
