Ok kinda gross but need help...
Normally wouldn't share this but you all are so intelligent that I know someone has the answer! I have a sinus infection really bad and got put on Amoxicillian. Also taking about 3 or 4 ibprofin every 4 or 5 hrs for the pain.
Here is the gross part. For whatever reason since I started taking it...I am having the most digusting farts ever. I absolutely can't help it, and I almost throw up in my mouth a little each time. I try to go outside or in the bathoom when my family is at home, but the smell follows me back into the room we are in.

So the question is can I eat something to counteract the smell until I'm done with the medicine, so my family doesn't die in the next 8 days?

They do have thin strips for gas that dissolve instantly on your tongue. I can't remember the name of the product. Suppose to work immediately.....

Try taking Tums 2 hours after you take your medicine. Or go into the bathroom to pass gas with the exhaust fan on and wait a few so when you come out, you are not "pulling a trailer".
The Tums could interfere with the action of the antibiotic, which is why I recommend that you take it 2 hours later.

antibiotics mess with the "good" bacteria in your digestive tract, you often get diarrhea while taking them, so I am guessing you are just having a more "unique" side effect than others.
