Does Green Tea Help the Heart?

Does Green Tea Help the Heart?

Quote:
The next time you're offered a choice between Earl Grey and green tea, you might want to go green.
A new study shows that the beverage, which is more popular in Eastern cultures, can protect heart arteries by keeping them flexible and relaxed, and therefore better able to withstand the ups and downs of constant changes in blood pressure.

You know, I have never liked Tea. Have never drank it, but I think I'm going to try the green tea. If it is that heart healthy, I'd be crazy not to.

Green tea has been a staple in the Orient for hundreds of years. I tend to think they've always known of the benefits. Green tea is pretty good. Just stay away from the processed junk on the market and brew your own.

Do you mean the pre-made tea in the plastic bottles? So we should buy the tea bags and make our own in the coffee pot.

Would be expensive for me. I would have to go out and buy a coffee pot. I try to limit my caffeine intake to the morning drink first thing, then none the rest of the day.

You can get decaf in green tea.

I prefer buying loose leaf and brewing it the old fashioned way. But tea bags work in a pinch as well. And the nice thing about tea bags or loose leaf is you really don't need a coffee pot to brew it. Just boil some water in a microwave and brew the tea that way.

Here too. Isn't green tea caffeine free?

Forgive me for asking this because like I said I'm not a tea drinker, but does it not come in tea bags so you wouldn't need a coffee pot?

Good point. Now I have to look at buying a coffee pot. I try to limit what I carry in the truck. I don't even carry a microwave or fridge in the truck either.

We don't even have one in the house.
