sorry baack, but i have to disagree. i THINK what actualy leads to the harder drugs(in MOST cases) is the people pot- smokers hang around.
but being a (RETIRED! 20+ yr smoker myself) i would NOT want to drive a truck on it. hell, i would pass my exit-turn around 3 times before i got it LOL
AND with it being illegal, i'm NOT putting my career in jeapordy for a little relaxation!!
what i'm saying is, in alot of professions it is no harm-no foul. but there is NO place for it in the trucking industry, we have ENOUGH problems on our back.

Being a former user years ago, No they should not legalize it. They give it to cancer patients so they get the urge to eat but that can be done with other substances. Other then that it has no usefulness in this world.

And anyone that says it is less harmful ,then other things, has no idea.

I personally think that the laws should be harsher for possesion and ten times harsher for distribution of it.

then YOU, my friend have the wrong info. I MYSELF led a productive life in the construction business.(until i started driving)
ALL while being a daily smoker! i drove my car, i worked on building your house, i shopped at the same stores as you, and on and on and on.........only thing you could have accused me of then is driving too slow..
"has no idea"? huh, think again brother, i KNOW both sides of the fence.

I'm with Pat on this one. I was a smoker myself an led a normal life doing normal everyday things.

Thing about it is if you want to do certain things like drive a truck you can't smoke.
If I was not driving I would still be smoking today.

And I have a ? for you guys who think it is not safer than other things. Who would you rather ride with, Me who just smoked a joint; or someone else who just drank a six pack?

And for the ones that choose the latter I'll see you at the hospital.

OK putting the legality aside
How sure are you that you were living a normal life smoking pot
Maybe you were all the butt of every joke and just didn't know it
And if pot was not problem would you be able to handle driving a big truck, if not why

The comparison was pot to cigarettes.

When I worked construction 75% of our screw-ups were caused by the guys who caught a buzz behind the tool trailer several times a day.On the other hand I have worked with potheads and drunks all day and most people didn`t even notice that they were under the influence-and they performed well.
The real scum of the earth are the ones who are pushing methamphetamines.

Long time ago....

I was involved in a wreck with a driver who was high, about a block from my house, and the ATM I was going to. Crazy ##### run a redlight doing about 60 mph, took the whole front cap off my pick-up. Thankfully, a cop was sitting right there when it happened.

Of course, if I hadn't been high. The girl might not have run the light.

Now you can argue, I would have seen her had I been straight. But I don't have x-ray vision...straight or high.
