Newbie Wants to Team Drive with GF, Who Takes Pain Killers.

So yeah, basically what the topic says. Don't have much time to get into details of our situation. Got my son's birthday party in a few minutes. Might be the last birthday for awhile if we do the trucking thing. Anway.....

Me and the girlfriend are thinking about team driving. Currently I work in the computer field, and the girlfriend is unemployed.

She has a problem with chronic pain, and takes pain killers. How is this looked upon in the trucking industry. I'm well aware of the random drug testing, testing before starting school, and testing before getting hired on. If/when it shows up in the drug test. Will she be denied even if she has a prescription for the meds?

This message board is great. Lots of good information. Helping me a lot in my urge to quit everything, and to drive truck.

I doubt she would get a driving job having to take pain meds if they are narcotic,
and if she did in fact get one she would not be able, or should not, take them while
driving.
