How To Make Laptop Stand ??

    A TV tray works just as well. It folds up, and can get put away when not in use.

    And can be used at your seat, or on your bunk.

    Personally, I think anything that will show your laptop WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING, is NOT a good thing.

    But, that's just my own humble opinion.

    Looks better than the $250-$300 price tag for a Jotto or Ram mount and it serves the same purpose...besides you can add some of this for cosmetic purposes to cover the pipes

    Or you can use brass or chrome pipes and fittings

    I had some of that on it at first. Made it harder to tighten the fittings to adjust the stand so I left it off. A truck to me is a tool to make money not my residence. I could care less how pretty it is. This piping is unobtrusive and functional.

    As far as it being visible from the drivers seat mine is always loaded to a map program of where I am going with several windows loaded at different points of the route ahead of time. I only use it if I have never been to a place before. Its no more dangerous than using a paper map and is far more powerful. Its saved my ### more times than I can count when I am given bad directions or need to find a way around construction or a wreck

    a buddy of mine mounted on the passenger side but with thick velcro on both sides over a surface he accommodated on the seat.
    anytime you hit bump it's gonna feel it some
