Points South
Their is a 5"x7" card (orange) that does state to plug the Navigation device in for the 1st two hours that comes in the box on top of the head unit. Did yours not have one?
Unplug your TND for 12 hours, then plug into an AC source for 3 hours, press the reset and it should be good to go.
The 710 draws up to 2amps, the USB port provides about 500Ma.
The USB port will not provide enough for charging, but will provide enough for keep alive.
Thanks,
Mark

Is there anyway to have a feature that allows us to correct speed and weight limits?...I'm on I-65 today, clearly marked at 65mph and the GPS said 55 until I hit the 70mph zone...This is annoying...Or maybe an ignore feature...

Is it possible to search for a Flying J (or another specific brand truck stop) by the store #? When my husband is given a fuel stop he tries to enter it in as a stop in a multi stop but sometimes the truck stop he is looking for doesn't show up. Possibly the address is wrong or the city is wrong. It would be a great help if there was a way to pick a truck stop by the store number.

Rand is junk!
So I am on my second Rand GPS. my first was a 700, second a 710, the 700 sits in a box at home waiting to be sent to rand to see if it can be repaired, (it is less than a year old and the power port is too loose) my second unit (about a month and a half old, has just developed the same problem, needless to say I am not pleased, I have read many other posts about the same problem, WTF? for the price of the unit, you should expect a high quality product, I am very dissatisfied
with Rand at this point, if you are in the market for a GPS look at other brands before you hand over your hard earned money.
