You aren't kidding. It put me onto the Palisades Parkway and I went about a mile and realized it was not a truck road. As I was getting off I got pulled over but the cop was nice and just gave me directions. The Garmin I own caused me more trouble than good when I went into NYC. I was lost for 6 hours between NY and NJ and I ran 7 hours over my 14. An absolute nightmare. Anyone here thinking about buying a non truck GPS is wasting their money IMO and they may end up in more trouble than they would have been without it.

Just wanted to inform everyone of the Teletype WorldNav 3300 Commercial Truck Routing GPS Navigational Systems. WorldNav Portable GPS based on TeleType's award winning navigation product line. This advanced touch screen Truck Routing GPS for professional truck drivers, bus drivers, and RV'ers. Insures that routes will follow roads that are suitable for truck travel, and yet the commercial driver can rely on the routing as it takes into account commercial truck restrictions such as bridge heights and clearances, load limits, one-way road designations, left-hand and dangerous turn restrictions, and allowances. For example, a typical set of restrictions for a semi-trailer could be entered as 13'6" height, 80,000 lb weight, 53' length, and 96" width.

These systems retail for $399 on-line at Teletype.com but you can get yours at the reduced cost of $354 from www.GlobalTrucker.com
