You'd have to check Garmin's site to see what their plans are.

I have perused all of the posts concerning this, but I have been unable to find a definitive answer. Is there a GPS unit out there that has been made specifically for truckers that includes clearance issues. Also will it consistently update its info based on changing variables. Would I need to subscribe to something???:smt033

This is not a unit designed for trucking, but works well if you pay attention to your surroundings. It offers 6 different routes or various settings.
If you have room for a double-din unit in your dash, I highly recommend it. If you would rather have a GPS only unit, then Garmin has several great choices. Some, if not all, have a "truck" setting. The setting isn't perfect, though. It may not have all low clearances programmed into it. -
Update: I did a little test the other day with the Ique 3600. I set a route that should take me under a 12'6 low bridge, down a no truck zone and a local delivery only zone. My finding in the Truck mode was it routed me around the no truck zone and around the low bridge. It did route down the local delivery zone.
Switched to the car preference, the route was more direct. Under the low bridge, and down the no truck zone. I was pretty happy with that test. I have done a few other test and so far the only fault was going down a local delivery road...
Garmin has stopped making the 3600 and replaced it with the 3000. They also have some nice higher end GPS palms such as the M3 and M4 which can be much more $$$$.... All units listed have the truck feature. You can find a factory refurb as new 3600 for around $200.... -
The Garmin iQue 3600 was the best tool I ever put in a truck. Got me where I was going, save te customer as a waypoint, enter contact info for that customer and note about the load, lumpers and customer

Being new to trucking I could not afford the Tom-Toms etc. so I went to my cell phone company and I am now using a navigator through my cell phone. It has helped me 100% when I am running nights to a new location I am not familiar with. I wear a one ear head phone so I can hear the commands for turns etc. without disturbing my sleeping team partner. I love it. It also keeps me from having to look at the GPS...so I can keep my eyes on the road.
I don't know if I can give the name of the company but you can send me a private email and I will answer.
