I saw a blurb about Trip Pak app for iPhone in one of the trucking papers.

I tried it out... It uses your iphone camera to snap pics of bills and documents.

It takes a steady hand to snap the pictures. But its very easy to toss a photo right away and retake it if you think it might be too blurry. It allows you to crop the photo too.

Now, I thought some of the text was too small to read in the pics, but I called my payroll sup and had her review the bills after I sent everything in.

She said she could read everything fine, there was a "hazy grayness" to images she recieved that made her believe that I might have trouble with colored bills in the future. But this is was her first experiance with bills being transmitted with this app, so she couldnt say that would be the case everytime.

I got a call from Trip Pak, they left a lengthy voice mail on getting with me to answer any questions I might have and they would like to give me some tips on taking better images and using the app. This was after I registered the app, and BEFORE I even scanned my first trip... So A++ so far on customer service.

I have a scanner/printer on my truck... I may put that in storage... I almost never use the printer, and only use the scanner if its near the payroll cutoff and I cant get to a truckstop scanner in time.
