This will probably turn into a messy thread but I bought the Garmin Nuvi truck GPS from Wal Mart $240 shipped site to store and have no complaints whatsoever. It has yet to take me down a road I do not belong on and I really depend on it.
I see this same GPS in truck stops now for the same price, since I had to pay tax there was no benefit of ordering it from wally world it took almost a month to ship -
I use Copilot Truck HD on an iPad, big display, live updates, traffic, search and the Rand McNally truck map. Copilot has never lead me wrong but, I still like having a paper map at hand. When I was training, students had to prove they could use paper before using GPS.

I have over 140,000 miles on my Rand Mcnally700. Overall ive been very satisfied with its performance, reliability and company service the one time i needed assistance. It has never sent me somewhere i shouldnt have been although i always double check my gps route with my map before leaving. I do not always follow its instructions on familiar lanes only because i know from experience which ways are quicker than others but besides that its usually dead on accurate. Im sure all these units mentioned have similar options but i use mine for alot of other things than just routing. When having breakdowns ive been able to locate garages nearby with address and phone numbers faster than my dispatch although thats not saying much lol. As long as you stay with a trucker version im sure you'll be happy, but i have heard alot of dislikes with the Cobra model. Just sayin
