    Television in the truck...help!

I want to put a small television in my truck, I see those antenna's at the truck stops that are like 2 small 1 foot fiberglass antennas with mounts and coax, would that setup work?

A driver that works with me told me that I need a signal booster?

Are there better antenna options for me? I saw another style that looked like a V shape?

I just want to get the digital TV signals so I can get local channels I only sleep in my truck 2 nights a week tops so I just want the TV's for when im waiting around at the mill's or what not.

Come on TV experts give me all the information I need to pick up those digital TV signals!

Most of my running is around the east coast so I'm usually around a larger city so I'm hoping that I can get TV signals.

I'm a cheapo, I use straight-talk 45$ a month unlimited. I have a portable DVD player in the truck right now but I can only watch the few DVD's I have so many times. I thought local channels would be good for sports, baseball, hockey, football, news, etc.

i tryed em all, not one really worked that well, yes you a signal booster, to me this the cheap route too wacth a tv in your truck, you also have too figure out how far away the next tv tower is away from you or town, most only go 67 or so miles, then you have figure out if parked at a warehouse -shipper and there metal roofs will block your signals too, my way when i go back out, is too get a laptop , go with hula for movies and insert a tv card , then run that off my phone i think should work better

Try not to park on a row where virtually every truck in and out of the truck stop has to pass through. I second the flat-panel w/ booster at wal mart. Just have to play around with locating inside your cab at every stop for optimal reception.

This is the one I used. It would pick up 60 miles away sometimes. Near big cities, it's like cable.

I have had the best luck just hooking to trucks hook up.I did have a pole rigged up that would raise antennas above trailers and such but forgot to put it down twice .So said the heck with it
