.............Did I miss your detailed initial opinion or do you still need to do it?

    Best GPS.......

Mark, Don, and anyone else whose read my posts with interest or just rolled their eyes.

Right here, right now, I am done. Finished. I have almost 5 grand in PN devices either here in the truck or in storage most of which are now up for sale or heading to the dump. I have discussed- argued the merits of each- features, content, and capabilties. Maybe something I said was useful, maybe not and now, doesn't matter anymore. I am not buying another one nor arguing the merits of X vs Y. I am done.

You want a feature rich device with relevant capabilities and content? Spend the cash buy the 720 and be happy. Okay? That's it. That is what is now and will forever be on my dash. If you don't, then don't. But right now, unless some one comes out with a real gee-whiz-bang device, which judging by the current entries, ain't happening soon, the 720 is that device. I don't care if you agree, think I am an idiot or whatever. And whether anyone believes me or not, I am an experienced power user ( if there is such a thing) and as such, staying with the 720 is the best decision for me.

Anyone that has followed Mark's RM support thread has seen our um- discussions. And I will continue to call it as I see it. And it may get down in the mud. But that does not mean I don't respect the man, his service, or his devotion to this nasty business. Nor does it mean that I am going to switch devices or go somewhere else. The 720 is on my dash.....it's not going anywhere.

Anymore from me on this will be on Mark's thread and only specific to the 720 and only when I have or think I have an issue. So you-you- can stop with the hate mail. I am done.

Just to add,,, K7TKR is by right someone’s "Thorn in the side", not only does he asks pointed questions, but he brings up valid points for everyone’s knowledge. He and I have had some interesting posts back and forth. As a Manager for Rand, I do have knowledge about the TND. I run the Beta Testers and try to find solutions for those drivers on TTR. But, K7TKR realizes that I am restricted in what I can post here on TTR due to some of it being company proprietary information. I cannot give cut and dry answers to some of his questions such as the Traffic Receiver. The software has many interactions with the hardware and I have to be some what general in my posts. I know this irritates some who want to expand their knowledge, but this is a business and as such I have to protect that business information.

I don't know what prompted his post, but all drivers should respect the man for what he is. He is not on TTR to raise Cain with anyone, but to expound his knowledge of the inner workings of the GPS.

He raises some interesting points sometimes that even I sit back and listen to.

These threads are not meant to brow beat anyone. I have never taken it as such. He might force me to go get a Dr. Pepper and think about what he posted and how I could respond as to answer his question.

    Thanks,
    Mark
