Lightning strikes truck and driver (video)
As we get quite the collection of windshield and truck security cam footage in sometimes, I started posting the more incredible stuff on my YouTube channel. Normally I do not post that kind of stuff here.
However, this one is SO phenomenal that I thought I would give a nod to the fine folks who run this forum and to its family. You are the first in the world to see this and it is a one-in-a-million capture that will surely go heavily viral over the next few months.
Special kudos go to the Mercer driver (name withheld by request) who sent this. YOU ARE THE MAN.
And to the driver in the red truck, I was elated to speak to your wife and hear that all is well, sir...

Just sat in the cab thru a nice T-storm a couple of hours ago thinking I was somewhat safe - well, maybe relatively safe - then again, maybe not much at all! Very good that driver alive with a story to tell! God Bless Ya!
Thanks for the post! Like to have one of the recording set-ups myself; who made that one? See a Canadian outfit (Windshield Cam?) that puts ads in the back of the mag's all the time, have gotten some info from them; and a company called Safety Vision as well. Some money, but looks like a really good idea for liability protection and more.

Glad to hear the Driver came out of that with just some minor injuries. It sure didn't look good when it happened.
