Not making a comment on the product- probably better if you search and call when you're sitting regardless of the source. You do not want to be caught holding a phone much less dialing it.

It's illegal. Period. There are also CSA score hits. And more....more and more states are jumping on this. I am a driver....23 years and going...still. This is of major concern to me and the outfit I drive for.....it's major points and fines. I do not know about NC....but truckers are risking their lively hoods if they get caught. Don't have my CSA book handy but this is how it is here.....50 points or more on CSA....not getting hired to drive here. And we ain't the only outfit with a policy like that. There is talk in federal circles now about outlawing phones in trucks period.

Edited...
Want to add this.
The CSA score for getting caught with a handheld phone is 10 points. The first year modifier is 3. Therefore, getting caught will cost a driver 30 points on that one CSA bit. Again, 50 or above? No job here. 10 is very high. It shows how serious the feds are taking this issue.

Just got the 720, to tell the truth I'm getting a little concerned it was a mistake. Lots on nice features but after only a week or two of use it has let me down at least three times already. 1st. It freaked out in Oklahoma City, when I got to the area where all the freeways come together it didnt know where to send me, kept trying to recalculate. 2nd. in Kansas City area while trying to get to an address off the 210, it kept trying to send me miles out of the way insted of just staying on the I435 to the 210 and DONE. And 3rd. in the Aurora CO. area it tried to send me into a residential street. All this in less than two weeks use. At $400 it has me wondering if I made a bad choice, maybe I should have gone with the Cobra 8000?
