i was able to save 1/2mpg using it. I monitored my boost/speeds and gearing. Found out by slowing down a little and running in 12th i started getting 6.5-7mpg when as before i was getting 5.5-6. so it's paid for itself already. If you wanna spend thousands of course there are other systems out there..but it's hard to beat $160 and being able to use the information to save money...that's the key.

I got full dash of guages and still love this new scan guage. It tells me trouble codes also tells me the reading from the ecm which is different than my analoge guages. I've had it just a few weeks and beleive it's paying for itself in trouble shooting and fuel economy.
I also don't have any problem with it coming unpluged going down the road. My connector does fit tight, though I do wish it was not such a big connector.

Also do you know you can change the display colors.

the trouble codes scanguage gives you. aren't the same as what the shop gives you.

i've been in the shop 3 times for CEL issues in the 2 months i've had my scangaugeD. my last bill was $6G.
before that BIG repair bill. i had one time where i fired up the truck. gauge lit up but wasn't the right color. and numbers weren't showing. then engine shut down and wouldn't fire back up till i unplugged it.

    i've stopped using my D.

the KR version might be the better fit. for semis.

CEL Issues? Not sure what that is?
Do you think the scan guage screwed up your computer?
Your starting to scare me. How long had you been running the guage?

The only difference is some custom calculated values. Otherwise they are the same piece of hardware.

What codes did your check engine light give?
How was it related to the scan gauge?

The scangauge reads info from the ecm, how could it do any damage to a ecm?

scangauge d is for rv's. not semis. scangauge has a diesel version and a obd2 version. the instructrions didn't seem like it was geared for semi's.

i've had NO ecm issues since it no longer gets used.

it's possible that mine may have had a glitch. it did do some funky things.

if your going to use one. use the KR model instead.
