Does anyone know if there is an app for smartphones whereby you could receive messages sent to your qualcomm on your smartphone?

This feature is in the Qualcomm system, however getting your carrier to enable that feature and update the consoles to allow the driver to input email and/or text number is another story. Plus they charge additionally for each message forwarded and I think most carriers simply don't want to pay for it. They want you to leave your room every hour and walk out in a foot of snow to go check your "QuailComm" for a dispatch.

    Didn't know that.
I actually think it would be easier and cheaper for Companies to go with a simpler QC w/o messaging capability just for ELogs or EOBR and Tracking, and utilize E-mails for Communication.

I think Qualcomm is now focusing on mobile phone chips, thus putting evolving the MCP models on the back burner. Their snapdragon processors for the Samsung smart phones are taking all their R&D and production money. You guys have to remember that Qualcomm is a company and the money is not in dash mounted mini computers much as it is in the smart phone industry. They are also working into the medical industry. The reason I know this is because I have invested heavily in this company with an avg share cost of $49. I am very happy :)

    EDIT: Ticker QCOMM
