Diesel Boss DB4 dash cam review

I feel the opposite.... I think some of my commentary would be funny to listen back on...

I bought a dash cam from Diesel Boss in September 2015. I thought it was rather cheaply put together. I found it hard to get it set up. No instructions in the box. After a few weeks it froze up, After locating my receipt I called. They tried to fix over the phone then decided to exchange for a new unit. I told him I would like to upgrade to a better model. About $50. I was told the owner would have to approve and I would hear from him. That was three weeks ago. Nothing! The product is craps and so is their response. I don't want a replacement nor upgrade. Keep all your crap.

 

Hmm. Well, I can tell you that's not the way we normally do business. In addition, there should have been a very detailed setup guide in the box and that no one got this message to me. I don't leave anything like that dangling.

I purchased the DB4 for Christmas 2018. I have added the dual camera to this unit. I will post some observations on the unit later. I'm still working on app use and some of the other default settings.

So far it's better than the pervious unit(not a diesel boss dash cam) I have owned.

Actually, you must have the new DB5 model. The DB4 had an excellent run an there are many thousands of them running out there every day. However, as the technology is developed we have to listen to what the drivers are asking for. The DB5 adds wifi connect to your cell phone or tablet so that you can view the video wirelessly or save an incident to your phone storage without a wire. It also adds 4K video resolution, GPS position and speed, G-Shock sensor, and wide dynamic range chipset. It can take up to a 256 GB card to handle long record times even in 4K.

Sat. I will upload a link to YouTube of a run I did yesterday and today.

I'm pulling the files off onto a laptop.. To upload them. Not sure on the specs I have set, video is real clear.
