I like to watch TV episodes and LOVE movies but have been pretty much restricted to free Hulu account and Redbox but I have been looking at the Netflix accounts and everything and last night I came across Amazon Prime. It looks like its sort of like Hulu mixed with Netflix with free Amazon shipping to top it off. Has anyone used it? Do you like it/hate it? They have a 30-day free trial but is it one of those things that on the 30th day they charge your card? I order from amazon quite a bit (mainly so I don't pay truck stop prices for anything) so the free shipping would be nice. I was just wondering everyone's opinion on it. Do you have a different paid service like Netflix or that Hulu plus? do you like it? I pasted a link to that Amazon Prime below so people can check it out and see what i'm talking about. Any input would be appreciated

$79 a year for unlimited streaming movies, TV shows and the FREE 2 day shipping. Also, you can get a lot of books for Kindle in the lending library, so you don't have to buy them. It's a good deal IF, i repeat , IF you have a good WiFi connection.
    Mine works great at home.
If you are having to use a cellular connection via your phone or a MiFi, you can run thru your monthly data allowance pretty quick.

You can cancel the subscription before the 30 day trial runs out in your account settings. You will be charged for the full year up front. The thing I like about Hulu and Netflix is you can turn down the quality so you don't use as much data. Most T/S wifi's are a joke and often their access devices are overloaded so I wound up paying extra for my phone data-plan. You could look into Satellite internet for the truck but I haven't talked to anyone who has done it.

I like it but I do a lot of shopping through Amazon and like the free [2 day] shipping (that often arrives next day). The free movies and other stuff sort of seals the deal for me. I like Amazon because it is a very, lean and clean and easy web site to navigate. Finding what you want is always very fast. Don't have to sort through a bunch of garbage. Also, Amazon is integrated with Roku.

I read somewhere that you can share your Prime account with 4 or so other family members. is that true? Sounds like a much better deal if its true.

I have bought from them several times. I prefer it to paying truck-stop prices for things. Honestly, the only way I found out about Prime is because I have a blog and it popped up as one of my advertisers. but I got to reading about it and it sounds like a sweet deal. just wanted some reviews from honest people who have used it first.

Basically is a small device that accesses available wifi or wired internet access to deliver streamed video content to any tv. Much of the content is free, some is subscription, and some is pay-by-title. But you need reliable and moderate internet bandwidth connection such as 4gLTE, cable modem, or DSL

    newbietrucker007 Thanks this.
