Well I'm not a complete expert but that ip is wrong it should be 192.168.0.1 if I'm not mistaken

not to mention. it don't matter what browser you use. they all work.

as for your connection. it's probably the security. WEP. instead of WPA/2. or whatever.

if i try to change my phone to password i like. it stops connecting. i've even tried changing the WEP and all that jazz. so i stick with the stupid password it has. and the security setting.

linksys router uses IP 192.168.1.1 to access settings of the router, others may use the same address.

    0.1 for the modem

    1.1 for the router

the phone seems to be a different story.

    Directions say 192.168.1.1.
    That works.

The issue is likely the device name.
The middle character is a dollar sign - $

    Re-read the directions...

Verizon is as fascist as they come.
They have admitted spying on their customers, then complying w/gov't orders for information.

i read the directions until my eyes bled.and then once more.I would type in the dollar sign but i can't get that far.

verizon does suck but it is cost effective and I actually bought the setup for this gal i date(she doesn't have a connection at her house as it is farther out in the boonies than mine and we both are relegated to tds as they are the only provider out in this part of alabama.monopolistic? yes) but then after being unable to set it up on hers,i tried mine.I just re-read my last sentence and i would make a joke but will not.

    thanks

I appreciate every reply.the google chrome suggestion will have to be tried next.I just hate google as much as Who hates verizon.they both have sold the public out.

you could always try another browser then, there is opera which can be decent, I use chrome myself which runs smoother and faster than IE ever has for me.

When you connect to other hotspots, you have internet I assume?
If so you need tech support, because it sounds like a device related issue.
