so my qualcomm in my cab and my modem under the passenger side box were replaced last week. Pulled out of the terminal and my gps nav quit working, all my buttons were greyed out,

so I went to the nearest terminal on Sunday after 4 frustrating days of using phone gps.

They've since deleted the os, wiped out everything and reinstalled it.

now, all my buttons are active and I can tap them and access the menus except for one.

Can't access the dispatch button. My dispatcher sent a load, I accepted, sent my fuel level and it still won't turn from grey to purple to get the addresses and pull them into navigation.

Anyone have experience with this or know the issue? I'd really like to get back out on the road soon. Dispatcher is baffled, I'm baffled, the tech here at the terminal is baffled, Qualcomm is baffled. No one seems to know a darn thing about what to do to fix it.

    Can't you just hit
Where to and enter the address?

you shouldn't have to do that. You should just be able to hit "Dispatch" and it extracts the addresses from your trip info that your dispatch sends you and routes you.

    That's obviously not working.
And no one seems to know why.
Guess you can either Enter the Adress manually (omg gasp)
Or hope they figure it out somehow.

Or you can just go buy a regular GPS.
    The Qualcomm sux anyway.
But of course you'll still have to enter the Adress manually.

You can also copy and paste the address. Highlight the address in the dispatch screen, press control and C at the same time, go to the where to screen in Navigation and press control and V. Quicker than typing it in and no chance of typing in a mistake address.

    X-Country Thanks this.

got it fixed. I guess you have to wait a full 24 hours after you re-load the OS and then have your dispatcher send you a load, send in your macro 54 for fuel level and then reply to the load with date and time ETA. it popped right in there and the dispatch button lit up. either way, I'm just glad its working now!

My guess is he wants to do the dispatch option because it also has his fuel stops and such all set up and ready to go. My advice is either suck it up and sit there while the techs sort it out, or buy a rand mcnally gps and do it yourself.

If the time lost sitting is more than the gps, buy the gps.

before I came into the terminal, I didn't even have the ability to input the addresses myself, and trying to drive around on a phone gps is CDL suicide.

I will be buying a Rand McNally 720 as a backup, but gotta make money before I can do that!

But she's working now and I am thankful for that!

Glad it's fixed....but guess you never got the memo that GPS isn't required.

I for the life of me don't see how anyone can do this without GPS. I understand the old days before GPS, when there weren't all these restrictions on what truck goes on what road or hwy, but with all these no truck routes and low clearances, how could anyone expect a new driver NOT to have GPS???
