I found this on internet and I'm quite disappointed coz I use S&T on a daily basis.

oh well, i found it too sophisticated anyways. but alls not lost, they switching to bing maps.
i didn't see any use for it. specially if it can't route in a proper manner,. but pcnavigator is free. give that a whirl.
msft isn't the only game in town. and google is your friend for other resources.Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
I knew their Bing maps would intervene the way they try to shove it down everyone's throats. I'm getting where I don't like some of their practices.
On the good side my Streets and Trips disc just doubled in value. I'll put it on eBay!Skydivedavec, lovesthedrive and Gulf Thank this. -
i've got a 2001 edition. with transmitter that don't have drivers available past xp. and no way for bluetooth. since that tech didn't exist.

It didn't take me a couple times to realize I didn't like having a 15" GPS sitting on the passenger seat.
I used it a few times for trip planning after that before the cobwebs set in. -
S&T was the first consumer GIS app covering 50 states, and v2001 the first to interface with GPS. I found it so accurate, I have to laugh at myself, when I finally discovered an error I wondered for months when and why they rerouted a few miles of US-78 between Olive Branch and Holly Springs MS.
TTBOMK v2001 still contains the most accurate and comprehensive map of US lakes, streams and rivers, including dry stream beds. -
The good ole days. Or wait, the new good ole days. I use my Ram laptop mount as a coffee table now.

Thing is.. we live in a great era regardless of gubermint involvement and technology evolution leaving the older generations behind or trying to.
We have to evolve with it and develop ourselves for our better good.
I have used google maps from day one, never liked the mapquest dookie but I did use streets and trips in my laptop when there was no internet connection available, so having it in your "pc" (personal computer, every one still calls it a laptop) is a great tool for routing.SHO-TYME Thanks this. -
From the web site:
"..... and will have online support until July 14, 2015. Streets & Trips 2013 will be available for purchase until December 31, 2014."
So I guess after Dec 31, 2014, I can finally put it on my 4th computer without having to buy 2 full copies...???
If I cant register it, then.....................
Any one know?Last edited: Jul 14, 2014
