i've got my library. mostly 80's. had it for years. long before laws. but everytime android updates their os. i lose a couple more. it's all there. on computer. but the android play only see's about 70%.
so how do you get your music to be recognized. that you've had for years. and how do you get your newer stuff to play.
don't play with itunes. the times i have played with it. it didn't have most of my music. not that it matters is i don't own and never intend to own anything apple.
so, what do i need to download my music for android. that android is gauranteed to see and play. now and in the future. cuz you know, the hits just keep on coming.
it do't have to be software that has transfer capabilities. copy and paste is no big deal to me as long as i'm not on windows 8. which can't recognize my note 2
how do uuu music???

I turn on the radio and find station (preferably locally owned) playing "traditional" country music. If that isn't an option, any country station will do. I've always preferred local radio...local news, local traffic, local weather...and it's gotta be country. Or conservative talk...but mostly country. Bluegrass works, too, IF I can find it...but those days are few & far between.

okiedokie and NavigatorWife Thank this. -

remember napster?????
when i first noticed the problem, it turned out the file formats just needed a filename change to .mp4 or something like that. but now, here we are with android 4.x. and i'm losing music again. i've got 12 nickleback songs, but only 8 are being seen. same with all my albums. windows sees them all. android doesn't.
radio gets old. sometimes i like to plug in my phone to the truck radio. MAX OUT THE VOLUME UP. AND CRANK OUT THE AC/DC, or nickleback or whatever.
last night i cranked out donners pass with ac/dc. made the drive a heck of a lot shorter banging my head.bullhaulerswife and okiedokie Thank this. -
Is it all on your phone? Maybe buy a dedicated MP3 player and load everything on it. Amazon is good for new downloads, or buy cd's and rip with Audiograbber and load them on yourself.
bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
that defeats the purpose of packing around less then 1 item.
i supposed i could buy a mp3. but i'd rather keep it to one item. my phone.
i've tried other media apps, but they all work the same. can only see what android itself allows to be seen. -
I have an AUX out on my phone and an AUX in on my radio (i've never seen a radio without one) so I just run a hardwire from my phone to my radio. and a few days ago I plugged my tablet into my radio, but i've decided to stop doing that becasue I dont want to get busted with a "texting while driving" ticket, and I can't say "I was switching songs" because they probably won't belive me
I am lucky enough the radio has sirius built in, so I just bought the subscription and there we go. I even turn the terrestrial radio on.
but there is nothing on a 3 in the morning, -
I built a dedicated MP3 player with my favority songs on it and just leave it right in my truck..
its the best radio station ever because i programmed it with all my fav's
Being a dj for alot of years makes for one hell of a music collection.bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
Ipad > USB > Radio = win.
Biggest issue I have now is the fact that I only have an Ipad anymore due to theft and IOS 5.1.1 is a POS.
