snipes facebook. not an app but I have heard if you search the state(ca) and snipes on facebook you should find a page that drives place comments on. I have never gone there or searched for any. I just keep my logbook legal and hope for the best. Good luck.

You know you could just get an inexpensive CB radio... not only can you find out if the "Big Word" (closed) is out... you can get other useful I formation. .. for exampl if there is an accident up ahead and the right lane is closed.. you can make your way over...

Agree completely!
Unfortunately, a lot of the new generation probably wouldn't even know how to turn a CB on....... Let alone how to actually operate one.....BrenYoda883 Thanks this. -

the cb is a technology that no one uses these days.
as for the coops ap. it also don't work. i don't now why anyone still fools around with that app.
cali scales that are open. and under construction. tehachapi scale is always open. yet it been closed for years. utah scales that are closed during the day when they don't close till midnight. idaho scales that are always opposite of their reported status. colorado scales are most times closed when they NEVER close. same with NM and AZ ports.
and lots of times, their status was reported less then 1 minute ago. -
Also, there are still some shippers/receivers who tell you to turn to whatever channel and they will call out toyou with your dock assignment. ...
I have a good smart phone... but I also have a good CB and there are more then a few times where I am glad I have a CB.. just like I have a good GPS.. but I never roll without my Rand Mcnally laminated Atlas...Mudguppy Thanks this. -
