If I get another " stay alert and safe and rested" message waking me up I may push this truck off a cliff. I have pushed all of these seemingly cosmetic buttons on my peoplenet unit but can't get it to shut up. What am I missing?
Thanks

Look under system then settings. You should see a slider that lets you lower the volume.
randomname and Ebola Guy Thank this. -
Volume adjustment along with brightness is under settings.

Oh, thank you, Dragonfly and Cody! I just moved into a PeopleNet truck and that is one of the things I wanted to know. I just also found out I could customize the home screen. Kudos to you, sirs!
Now I just have to figure out how to delete those 'suspended' or 'pending' messages.Last edited: Sep 20, 2014

If you have a cooler, you could put it inside the cooler and close the lid to keep whom ever from bypassing the settings?
Case in point. Wife and I got a digital AT&T answering machine. We set the volume to zero, in the winter Walmart will spam our home phone. Some how when they call, the volume is getting remotely altered and becomes a seven! Next thing we know we have a voice blaring away about something we have no interest about. -
To get rid of suspended messages go to System =} Information =} Services. Highlight empty mailbox and hit OK. If you mt the drafts folder it will delete all pending and suspended messages. While you are here you can also clear out all the other messages you don't want. You will have to clear each folder individually. When you answer yes it takes a few minutes if the folder is very full. Hope this helps.
Ebola Guy Thanks this. -
I do not suggest, but,
on some units,
a few drops of superglue muted the volume.... -
Thanks guys!
