navigation didn't speak on a couple of turns. if one didn't look at the line, they'd be confused.

he didn't enter the street name for hawkins.

as for power cord replacements, looks like the same cord all truckstops are selling these days. just have to buy the plug socket. much cheaper then buying a stock replacement. my pcmiler unit wore out it's plug. it's using the same type cord my cell phone uses. if and when it gets used.

I didn't see much that was new or better than the 720 other than the placement of the power port being moved from the back to the side. IMO the Rand McNally is far better than anything the competition offers. The 520 has the same features but is smaller and of course, less expensive. I chose the 7" due to the increased size of images on the touchscreen allowing fat fingers to hit the right 'buttons' every time.

As for his comment about the 2mi notification for exits, the 720 allows the user to set that distance. I can't imagine the 730 not having this same feature so perhaps he hasn't had it long enough to test out all the different features.

The hardware is about 4x faster at calculating and recalculating routes.

There are some other streets that give that warning. Wish I could remember them. :) I will "Tell Rand" when I hit them again.

Now that I know I can use a generic power adapter, I will.

The 730 will require a 5vdc/2amp. Most you see is 1amp in the stores.
