Would like to know who I can rely on to install my inverter. Considering cost, quality, and can get it done quickly. Would prefer a company that does this on a regular basis.
    Thanks in advance.

Any dealer can do it. I would guess 90% of drivers in any truck stop could do it also. It's not rocket science. Red +, Black -

If you install it wrong you can literally burn your truck down. Especially if it doesn't have a surge protector.

If it is a company truck or leased truck you will have to have the companies shop do it. If you own the truck, then any truck shop should be able to do this. Most of the time they will install a fuse on the + line at the battery connection. You can buy the kit to install a inverter.

Ya, it can get pretty hairy connecting red to red and black to black

thinking they meant more in the gauge of the lines.. not big enough and the lines will draw more current and overheat.

The Cobra model has reverse polarity protection. As far as the cable, just buy the one the manufacturer recommends. A jumper cable works well. I have a 2.500 watt inverter using a 10' jumper cable. Easy!

Reverse polarity has nothing to do with wire guage that's when you hook red to black and black to red

Like I said, read instructions and use what the manufacturer says. For a 1,500 watt Cobra it says 4 gauge. Simple!

Yep easy! I recently seen a driver installed 1500 watt inverter, using like 10ga wire, both wires run thru a ragged hole in the floor without any grommet, on top of all this no fuse. I just asked him if his life insurance was paid up?
I'd say a car audio shop would be a good bet.

    NightWind and Hegemeister Thank this.
