Question: Does this work a lot better for some of you OTR than the Satellite Radio Receiver Kit? I'm asking b/c it's $50 more and wanted to know if it's a waste of $ or the way to go since I plan to get SiriusXM.
Thanks in advance!

Just go with the regular receiver kit...it works fine. And I found out the expensive way, that my magnetic 'mouse' antenna works just as good as that $70.00 universal mirror mount antenna you find in truck stops...so don't waste your money there either.

I think the Mirror Mount does work better.
And if you order it of Amazon or someplace like that it's not even close to $70.
You can buy one of those at Amazon for what Truckstops charge for the 'magnetic mouse' antenna.crazyk Thanks this. -

I may be cheap but I'd call it resourceful.
Got the regular Sirius and took a piece of cardboard maybe 4" by 6" and folded it into an el. Put the long side into the dash crack up at the window on the pass side, making a platform. Use some elec tape to hold it in place and have the antenna mouse taped on top of that platform. This means everything is inside and portable. Works fine, loses signal just occasionally depending on the direction I'm going -
How do you connect to the in-cab radio? Is it by tuning to a specific FM channel or works through the aux port?

my radio in my new truck came with sirius radio built in
i dont know or care where the antennae is
never lose signal -
FM Channel works as well but not that good. -
Remember it's tax deductible
