I use Google Hello Fax and Hello Sign.....the fax gets sent to my email and i can digitally sign,date and modify it then fax it all from my laptop...I believe its 300 faxes a month for 20.00....i also use Camscanner on my phone to scan and send docs to where I want the....

 

I use a brother PocketJet6 printer. The same kizmo the State Patrol uses to print the inspections. It uses special paper but no Ink cartridge. Works better than the wireless HP printer. They both print good just that the brother is cheaper to operate. $300 to buy new. I don't hardly fax anything anymore. Most of my rate confirmations and permits are send email. Save as a PDF and send to printer via usb or wifi or Bluetooth.
OP did you download the drivers for your printer before you plugged it into your laptop. Your phone should automatically detect and download software needed or ask you to download.
When I used my hp printer. Most times that I have had to hook a printer to my laptop I had to first install the printer in my laptop using the usb cord than I was able to reconnect it using wifi.
When you want to sent a page email. Scan the page save it in documents as a (xxxxx.pdf) Use whatever name you want. Then make the email and attach the pdf file.
If you want to fax. Search the internet for Fax services. SOme are free. Most have a trial and then pay monthly. I don't use internet fax so I would be talking out of turn If I tried to tell you. Good Luck

I set up a cheap Epson printer via phone by way of bluetooth using Google.. (at home) I needed a separate number for a fax .. It came with instructions.. My question is how will you provide ample power to your mobile office ?

 

I'm guessing the printer is in your truck? If so you have to use a web based fax like sugested above. Traditional fax lines use a pot line and that's not mobile. Many to choose from. I have a faxline but I rarely use it. I use email and nitro. I can fill in pdf's, sign,and send from email. There are 100 programs that do the same thing.

 

I could not get a printer to print off my laptop the wireless way too,,i am very computer savy .so I just used a cable,,I bought a $39 printer scanner, I use my android phone with a app called PDnet to get on the net,,I buy a $45 smart phone card every month,,unlimited calls and data,
for faxes I use an eFax called MyFax,,with my fax it get an 800 number for those to send faxes,,faxes come to my email and you can have several email address that the faxes can go to cost for the fax service is very cheap, I pay about $10/mo/
I used to use a stick modem from Verizon, great service but cost about $40/mo to get internet access plus the phone bill, with the smart phone my unlimited calling plus internet is only $45/mo for both,,
