Better off with a netbook. The one I have is slow, poorly optimized and the battery dies really fast. Hard to type on it, the screen is finicky. I have one of the Venue tablets with windows on it. It's underpowered (cpu) and bogs down easily. For the same price in netbooks I can get more for the $.

Dell is also not as good a brand as it used to be. Netbooks, convertibles, and laptops are probably going to be best.

Acer, Toshiba?, Sony, and Lenovo/ibm are the work horses of the computer industry right now. I'm unsure of Toshiba, they were shaky for a while.

Unless you're looking to open up your wallet and drop a few hundred bucks, you won't find many good tablets.

I HAD a dell Venue 8(Android OS)...it had dual cameras, but not very high resolution. It wasn't great. Screen got broke when I dropped it (in the protective impact resistant case). Certainly not worth the money they charge. I got it to replace my Asus 7 Nexus tablet which is a decent tablet...but I think the latest Amazon Fire HD has it beat.

I still keep my Asus with me in case I break yet another GPS(been thru 2 this year). I have google maps and Co-pilot on it since my company uses brokers for backhauls. It's easier to locate customers and figure the best way in that way, rather than trusting someone who drives their car to work giving directions to a big truck over the phone.
