I have a Volvo 610 with a fiberglass cap. I ran into the same problem and was able to fix it for about $3.00. I went to Walmart and purchased some velcro. I cleaned off a spot on the roof, peeled away the plastic on the velcro, and stuck in onto the roof. I then did the same thing for the little (car type magnetic roof mount) antennae and stuck the velcro together. Took me about 10 minutes total time and it works like a charm! Might not look "professional" but heck I am a cheapskate and can't see spending 60 bucks on an additional antennae just to mount it to the top of 1 of my mirrors.

I'm a new truck driver and I'm starting with a Volvo. I wished the sun roof opened so I could just close it on the wire. Since this weekend is slow I decided to try mounting it on the back of the roof and threaded the wire in through the lower sleeper vent window. I used a couple strips of duck tape. Think that'll stand up to the weather?

Okay, if the T600 has a visor above the windshield that has a metal strip like this you can simply use the magnet and stick it to it. ![]() If it does not then you can use the bracket and mount it to the visor, then place the magnet on it. (just use existing bolt hole holding visor onto cab) ![]() You can nicly hide all wires inside the cab behind the plastic You will want to go route the wire under the door trim (little black piece that cover the edge of the cab plastic) at the top corner. ![]() Then route the wire out side heading to the visor You will want to use one or two wire clips that look like this (similar) they can be picked up about any truckstop. They stick to the truck and hold the wire on the out side of the truck. ![]() You will only see maybe 6-8" of wire out side of the truck and if done right you really wont even see that unless your really looking... I never lost signal mounting it like that..
