All I can hear in my company truck is the constant coffee grinder gearbox noise ... I think each and every one of the multiple thousand trucks they have has a trashed tranny. Its great to work for a big crappy company. Some trucks are better than others ... used to have one that the radio would drown out.

I never attended a driving school ... but I'm guessing they are really laxed on teaching students the proper way to go up and down thru the gears.

I cant get this company to replace a transmission, because they know once I ask for more time off than 5 hrs ... I will get put in a different truck.

About 120gb of mp3's on my laptop run into the stereo with the cb just loud enough to hear if someone has burst into flames around the next corner, again. I need to get an ipod.

Sirius's 147. Evan Lockridge Report and sometime Dale Sommers, and Dave Nemo.
Freewheeling SUCKS
Those two wanna be steering holders have no clue what we go thru out here. Oh sure one of them has' ridden' in a truck all of 500 miles. Ooooo . And unless your one of their 'favoret people' you get cut off, before your done speaking.
And who the hell is this Jonesy person, another wannabe trucker.

HairNation, Bone Yard, Classic Rewind. Oh and a dash of Blues and Bluegrass.

I listen to a variety of things:

CB: I always have my CB on but at a lower level so I can hear "brake check" and bear reports.

XM: Comedy, News and Music Channels (Country, Electronic, Rock)

Audiobooks: I plug my laptop directly into my stereo. I download a ton of audio books and can usually listen to an entire book in 1 - 2 days. I never use those crappy truckstop audiobook cd's.

Podcasts: Again, because my laptop is plugged into the stereo I can play whatever is in my iTunes. I subscribe to a lot of podcasts or just play a mix in my library setup for whatever listening mood I am in.

Pi,
If you like Prodigy, you may like the dubstep genre. Check out Mistabishi:

i can't stand dub-step. i'll jam to the harder stuff within the dnb genre as long as it's not jungle. especially that ragga jungle garbage. when it comes to hard dnb, i'll move to the following: counterstrike, noisia, hive, kryptic minds, eye-d, (old skool) dieselboy, raiden, technical itch, pendulum, etc.......

one of my all-time favorites:
