You may see if it has some kind of firewall that is blocking you. I haven't used Mcaffee in a long time so don't what else to suggest. Try going to into the settings and disabling the firewall. The firewall that comes with XP should be sufficient if you're running Service Pack 2.

 

wife uses mcafee, its pretty in depth...like when i clean her registry it pops up and tells me theres been a change...works on hers....know this isnt the awnser you need....i'd create a restore point (type 'backup and restore' in your start bar search area) and just go into mcafee controls and see what you can find...there also is some kind of mcafee 'auto fix' program i was able to find when i couldnt fix something hers did. Maybe you can download it fromt here web site? good luck.

Most likely it's blocking the cookies...seriously.
