Five Game Franchises To Put To Rest

Five Game Franchises To Put To Rest

We're not entirely convinced you can get too much of a good thing -- a lifetime supply of Ben & Jerry's sounds pretty infallible -- but you can definitely get too much of a bad thing.
Take, for instance, the following video game franchises. At one point or another, these were industry-leading properties with bright futures and enormous potential. Then, it all went wrong.

Sonic the Hedgehog
Dance Dance Revolution
Crash Bandicoot
Leisure Suit Larry
Need For Speed

Sonic was and still is one that my boys like to play. I'll stick with Pac-man and Galaga myself.

Sonic was a great game. I played Leisure Suit Larry for about 10 minutes and couldn't figure out what the hell the point was.

I prefer sports games like Golf and hockey, and racing games like Gran Turismo.

I play the Need 4 Speed II Hot Pursuit still 7 yrs after release, the newer versions all seem the same & too dark in graphics to see & play in a fun way. I too like the games from the 1980's, in fact I have found a person on eBay that sells the old arcade stand up and can load thousand's of emulating games into it. When I get this one, will never get bored of them.
